Shakira is a colombian singer and composer famous in all world for her pop singles on english and spanish.

Her first albums

She started her career like a local celebrity for her colaborations on local festivals, when she was 10 to 13 years. Rapidly she was contracted by Sony Colombia for recording three albums.

She moved to Bogotá and on 1991 she released her first album, Magia. Unfortunately, this record only sold one thousand copies. Two years later, she released her second record, Peligro, but this record was a failure on sells too. For this reason, Shakira (maybe for her producer's recommendation) decide to take a break on her career for graduating.

The beginning of Success

On 1995, Shakira decide compose and record for a Sony's recovery. This song, Donde estas corazón?, rapidly became in a radial hit.

For this, on 1996 she release her third discografical work, named Pies Descalzos. This record includes several hits of the singer, like Estoy Aquí, Pies descalzos, sueños blancos, Antología and Se quiere, se mata.

This record reached more than 5.000.000 copies sold, excluding The Remixes, that includes some portuguese versions of her songs and sold 500.000 copies.

Shakira recorded Donde estan los ladrones?, and release it on 1998. This record had a production cost 3.000.000 doulars. The record includes the singles Ciega, sordomuda, Inevitable and Ojos así, and have 7.000.000 copies sold.

For this successful record, MTV contract Shakira to record a live album. This record includes all songs of Donde estan los ladrones?, exept Que vuelvas, and was released on 2000 (This album sold 5.000.000 copies).

On march of the same year she release a short tou, named Anfibio, of Latin America and the United States. This tour started on Perú and finished on Argentina. 

On August, she won an MTV award in the extint category of International Audience Award with the song Ojos Así.

Laundry Service

Released on 2001, it was her first bilingual record. This record includes the song Whenever, wherever (Suerte on spanish version) that reached the sixth position on Billboard Hot 100 and was successful in other countries like Switzerland and France. Also, the second single, Underneath your Clothes, was successful in several countries of America, Europe and Asia, and reached the ninth position on Billboard Hot 100. Is important to note that in the spanish countries, Te dejo Madrid was the second single released.

Other songs of this album are Que me quedes tu and Objection (Te aviso, te anuncio on spanish version). This album was the best seller of the singer, with 13.000.000 copies sold.

Greatest Hits and El Tour de la Mangosta





On 2002 shakira released her fist recovery, named simply Grandes Exitos (Greatest Hits on english), includindçg songs of her four previous albums. This recovery reached 3,5 million copies sold.

For the successful of Laundry Service, Shakira started a new tour, named Tour de la Mangosta. This strange name come from, according Shakira, for:

''the mongoose is the only animal that is immune to cobra venom. For me, the snake symbolizes all the hate, sickness and negativity in the world. We should be more like the mongoose and attack the head of the cobra''

On February 2004, the singer published a DVD of the tour. The place elected was Rotterdam, in Netherland. The DVD was accompanied of a live record of this show, named Live & Off the Record (En Vivo y en Privado on spanish version). This pack reached 4.000.000 copies sold.

Fijación Oral and Oral Fixation

The release of two consecutive albums was difficult for Shakira, but the excess of material forced her to take this decision. 

This double album sold 13.000.000 copies and for this album the singer won a Grammy Award and four Latin Grammy Awards.

The first volume, Fijación Oral Vol. 1, was released on Juny 2005 and was reached the fourth position on Billboard 200. This album sold 4.000.000 copies in all world. 

The first single was named La Tortura, and had the colaboration of the spanish singer Alejandro Sanz. Ths single reached the first position (and it remained during 25 weeks on chart) on Billboard Hor Latin Tracks. 

Other singles of this record are No, Las de la Intuición, La Pared, and Dia de Enero (only released for Latin America).

On 2005, Shakira was the first latin singer that sang a song on spanish on the MTV Awards. 

On november of this year, she released Oral Fixation Vol. 2, her fist album completly on english. This album debuted on the fifth position in Billboard 200, but descended rapidly on the list. For this reason, six months later was reedited and released again. This reedition only included the song Hips Don't Lie. This single became in the only world hit of the record. This single increased the sells of the album, making it up from #98 position to the sixth position on Billboard 200.

Shakira was convened to sing Hips Don't Lie on the openinf of the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006, and was the first latin woman singer to sing in ths event.

On summer 2006, Shakira started the Oral Fixation Tour, and toured 125 countries. It was the most successful tour of the singer. 

Also, shakira was presented in Live Earth on Germany, she sing four songs, and one of this featuring the argentin singer Gustavo Cerati.

She Wolf and Waka Waka

She Wolf is the sixth album of Shakira, and was released in November 2009. The first single was recorded on english and spanish (She Wolf on English and Loba on spanish). The MV of this singles was recorded in Juny 2009 on LA. 

This album was very successful and received good reviews in all world. Other singles of this record are Did It Again, Give It Up 2 Me and Gypsy.`

During FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 Shakira recorded the official single of the event, Waka Waka. In this song, the singer used part of the lyrics of a african militar song and she had the colaboration of the south african group Freshly Ground. This single was successful in all world, but it had a moderated success on the U.S.A, the U.K. and Japan.

At Present

On september, Shakira released her new perfum named S by Shakira

Soon she'll release a new record, Sale el Sol. One single of this album is Loca, released recently. Also, the Shakira's Official Web Site released a free piece of three singles of the new album.

John Lennon

 John Lennon was a famous singer and composer Because he was a member of The Beatles, with Paul McCartney, who was the more successful of the 20 th century composers.


Born in Liverpool, UK and started the band The Beatles. Lennon was always considered as the leader of the band. In August 1960, the group was hired to play 48 nights in Germany.

The Beatles

In 1962 the band released their first album, Please Please Me and in 1963 the band was incredibly successful. This year Lennon wrote two books: In his own writing and Spanish in the works. In 1965, Beales joined the OBE.

In 1966, Lennon said in an interview realizada''The Beatles are bigger than Jesus.'' This prayer spread rapidly through the press, and for many fans burned their records in public. Later, Lennon said he backtracked and said his band are not bigger than Jesus, but they are famous as him.
It is important to note that in 2008, the Osservatore Romano (the Vatican newspaper) John Lennon spared for this controversial phrase.

After this, Lennon fled marijuana. Also, since the release of Revolver registration thie McCartney became the 'band's motor'

His Relation with Yoko

In November 9 of 1966, Lennon met Yoko Ono, a Japanese conceptual artist, and began releationship time later. In 1968 Yoko miscarried a son of John Lennon and was married March 20, 1969.

Together, they released three albums experimental: Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins (cover famous beacause they were completely naked), Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions and Wedding Album.

The band disbanded in 1969, with the release of Abbey Road. To many people think that Yoko Ono was responsible for this dissolution.

In 1971 John Lennon released his first solo album, which included the only Imagine Imagine peace.

His murderer, Mark David Chapman pleid guilty and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 1980. However, their freedom has been denied and remains in prison, although his sentence was completed in 2000.

Rihanna is a popular singer of R&B. Also, she's a composer and a model.

On 2005, she released her first album, Music of the Sun, and this album was in the Top Ten of Billboard 200.

This album was produced by Def Jam Records, the Jay Z's producer.

A month later of the release of her first album, the singer started to work in the second. A months later, this album was released, and it was named Girl Like Me. The first single of this record, S.O.S, reached the first position of Billboard Hot 100. Also, after this release, Rihanna started her the Live in Concert Tour.

Good Girl Gone Bad Era

On 2007, Rihanna released her third discographical work, Good Girl Gone Bad Era. This album was released with the colaborations of Timbaland and Will.I.Am. This album included to many rhythms of pop-dance.This album included the single Umbrella (ft. Jay-Z) that reached the first position on Billboard Hot 100.

Half year later, on June 2008, Rihanna released Good Girl Gone Bad Era: Reloaded. Also the singles of her previous record, this reissue includes the songs Good Girl Gone Bad (ft. Maaron 5)Take a Bow, If I Never See Your Face Again and Disturbia. For this album, Rihanna won a Grammy for Best Rap/Song Collaboration. 

Personal Problems

 Early 2009, the singer was a serious domestic problem with her ex boyfriend (boyfriend on this time) Chris Brown, and he was arrested by criminal threats. Also, leaked a photography showing Rihanna with to many visible lesions. 

A months later, the court decided to give Chris Brown five years of parol and a restriction order, that keep him 50 meters of the singer.

Rated R

On November 2009, Rihanna released Rated R, her fourth record. This album includes the singles Russian Roulette, Hard and Rude Boy. To promote this album, the singer started The Last Girl on Earth Tour.

Also, Rihanna colaborated with Eminem in the single Love The Way You Lie. 

On May 2010, Rihanna released Rated R: Remixed .

Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009) is a singer and composer famous all over the world to hide choreography and music videos. For these reasons, it is considered the king of pop.Michael began his career in 1964 (when he was 6 years) in the band of brothers, The Jackson Five. His great talent was discovered three years later when his song "I Want You Back became the first position on the Billboard Hot 100.In 1974 Michael Jackson released his first album as a solo singer, called Got to Be There. This album began his successful career, while the popularity of The Jackson Five began to decline.

His successful career

Four years later, in 1979, he released his second album, produced by Epic Records, on the wall. This album had four songs in the Top Ten of Billboard Hot 100, as Don'Stop Rock With You and 'Til t get enough.
In 1982, Michael released his second album, Thriller. This album became the biggest selling album of all time. The album was weeks eighties in the Top Ten of Billboard Hot 100, with the songs of Billie Jean and Want to Be Startin 'Something. It is important to note that the Thriller music video was the first black man to appear on MTV.

This record was released on 2008, and this work meant the return to the musical industry for the singer. The promotion of this record included the singles Womanizer, Circus, If U Seek Amy and Radar.
